Need to Switch Out of Microsoft S Mode on new HP laptop. [View all]

In the Store there are steps for this, but commenters & articles say it doesn't work. (M. is doing nothing to fix it).

If it can be done, can I retain Edge?

Any new computers made without S Mode (other than Apple)?
