I'm not surprised you're having problems. I've also had some problems getting the camera in a Lenovo laptop to work.

I suspect when you upgraded, the camera driver didn't upgrade with it. Hit the Windows button and then the Settings button (the one that looks like a gear). You'll go nuts finding camera settings, so just type "camera" into the settings search window, and something should show up.

I had a camera-less monitor for a while, and found one for about 20 bucks somewhere, and it works just fine. I thought I was going to need it on this laptop, but found the appropriate setting.
