3. I don't think snowmobile trails even opened in Wisconsin except for the very northern part of the state.

That's very unusual. In central there is usually at least 2 months of snowmobiling and in the southern part of the state a few weeks to a month.

My dad is an avid ice fisher and he only got out on the ice in late December and January. Nothing has been safe since in central Wisconsin since the first weekend in February.
