FRONT ROYAL The Royals are coming to Front Royal. ... Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom will visit the town to meet residents and engage with local business owners and organizations during a Block Party and parade set for Thursday along Main Street and at the gazebo.
It will be an honor to welcome the Royal Family to the Town of Front Royal during their historic visit for Americas 250th anniversary, said Mayor Lori Cockrell in a press release issued by the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. We know that when they have an opportunity to see our town and engage with our residents and businesses, they will understand why we love to call this community our home.
The King and Queen arrived in the United States Monday for a four-day state visit to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Entry to the parade route begins at 10 a.m. on Main Street. The parade will be very brief and security will be tight. Organizers advise allowing extra time to get through security, noting a list of prohibited items including but not limited to backpacks, pets other than service animals, chairs, firearms, explosives, selfie sticks, bicycles, coolers, and large signs.
