People in Virginia are used to a good economy so it won’t be a Republican triumph. There is a type of candidate Virginians will vote for and it really isn’t party. Virginians want a southern Virginia connection, moderate. Democrats need the classic Virginia candidate. (Remember Northam was originally a Republican and his Republican predecessor was kicked out back in the day when people actually cared about scandal).
