1. Why isn't it legal if it's a person's own body and their own choice?

Abortions are legal. I don't understand why everyone wants to force their beliefs on others especially when it's none of their business and they're not hurting anyone else. Why is it considered humane to put a beloved pet down? What's the difference? Is it a religious thing? No wonder people eventually end up doing it themselves (which is often very painful, expensive, difficult and dangerous).
