But I'm not going to get that upset at any Democrat who makes a vote that had no impact on the ultimate outcome. The person is confirmed whether I like it or not, so what good does getting angry about it do? It changes nothing.

Now I know, Biden didn't nominate anyone for cabinet positions as odious as many of Trumps picks, but as anti - all-things-Democratic as the Republican party has become, you would expect that most Republicans would have voted against most nominees. But in fact, the vast majority of Republicans voted to confirm the vast majority of Biden's nominees.

If 50 Republicans vote to confirm a nominee, then all Democratic votes become irrelevant to the outcome so they are just performative.
