I can’t imagine being young and having wedding plans during this, but in sickness and in health should not start during or because of your wedding. A legal wedding could have taken place, with the celebration put off until better circumstances.
I’m currently trying to decide about getting married. I still mourn my first husband. I thought it wasn’t right to get married while living with a ghost. It’s been almost 5 years, so maybe this is how it works. Meanwhile, a very patient man keeps asking. Now he’s mentioned that because I’m on chemo, he thinks we should get married so he has rights should I become sick or to carry out my final wishes. It’s making sense. My friend is a Justice of the Peace and offered to stand 8 feet away and yell vows to the front porch. It’s not how I imagined it, but these are different times.
