Some 40 years ago I found some Prickly Pear Cactus growing wild in a cemetery near Big Rapids in Central Michigan. I ended up growing it when I use to live in Detroit. No problem, it's easy to grow.
Great plant for your yard and very healthy to eat the flowers, leaves, stems and fruit.

Also looks nice and keeps animals out of your garden and people away from your windows.

Thanks. This has reminded me to start some this year.
