It doesn't play well when we have such a large surplus and the GOP will push it constantly from now until the 2024 election. If a really good case for the increases can't be made, they need to back off it.

Fortunately, we'll hold on to the Senate (by our 1 vote) & the Governor as they aren't up for reelection but I worry if we lose the House all the progress we're making could be stopped cold.
