They protested in Lansing. Insane. They were literally protesting against themselves getting higher wages. The propaganda is so strong that it gets people to literally fight for less for themselves and their families so that the rich can have more.

There was some provision about not being able to fire someone who is a no call no show that was poorly worded, so these people took that and ran with it that it prevented people from ever losing their jobs. The one girl is my bartender and she was convinced the higher wage meant she would no longer make tips because people wouldn't tip because they knew they were making more money now, "I explained to her that will affect approximately 0% of her customers, we were still going to tip just the same."

I am convinced that if the rich told them to, there's a portion of the working poor in American who would fight for the right to die if it made the rich richer.
