12. Isn't this a situation where a gun did kill someone?

It is not just a slogan, it is a main point to prevent gun legislation. This is not an isolated incident, toddlers kill themselves and kill other people. The problem is a dead toddler is a tragic heartbreaking situation and because of this many times no one is charged with a crime.

I know of several people in my area who claim to keep loaded guns throughout their house. Some even mount strobe lights on their gun to blind the intruder. Should people so paranoid be allowed to own a gun? It isn't illegal to keep loaded guns in one's house which is where most of these accidents occur. It is illegal to keep a loaded gun in a car, I believe. If we can't even pass background check legislation which would make it harder to get a gun we will never stop senseless killings.

It is easier in America to get a gun than it is to vote. I have to give out my driver's license number and the last 4 digits of my SS number, and my signature must match before my vote will be counted.
