And even Fox News rates him the worst republican governor.

What Democrats in government here say about him is that he simply will not negotiate. Everything has to be his way.

He also believes that there should be no minimum wage. Our state treasurer is someone who tried to talk to him about that, and about how everyone needs a living wage. It is as though a wall comes down in front of Rauner's face. Nothing registers with him but his own opinions.

I have noticed that a lot of people are leaving government in Illinois. They are not running again. What I am hearing is that many of them are worn down by battling Rauner. He sounds a lot like Trump. We can't let these people defeat us, but I understand how hard it is. I am weary myself.

Rauner is vulnerable. But we have to be careful. He bought the election against Quinn. He won by a narrow margin. I was kind of stunned that he won. But I have friends in republican areas who think he could win again. They don't necessarily like him, but they think he could do it. We have to GOTV.
