many people won't go downtown, hate to ride marta and won't eat or shop or stay in the area. All of that will change in Cobb County. Plus, when they looked at where the season tickets holders live, it's not downtown. I'd guess Alpharetta has a significant number.

Venues. Times have really changed since the old days where what you wanted to do was go and watch a game, be it baseball or basketball or football. No, now everything is about the experience and the best way to milk every dime from the attendees. There have to be shows and fireworks, and giant screens and special effects and farm to table restaurant food YADA YADA YADA. Once one city upgrades an arena, then another venue that's 15 years old just has to follow suit.

IMO, you could not be more right about the egos of the ultra wealthy. For them, more is better.
