ballot (which is my choice in this election.) Apparently there is a discrepancy between GA law and the absentee ballot. The Oath of Elector, which is the sworn testament of the voter, states, "I, the undersigned, do swear (or affirm) that I am a citizen of the United States and of the State of Georgia; that my residence address is ___ in the County of ___, that the date of my birth is ___ (Month and Day): and the rest of the oath. The problem is that line affirming the date of birth is labeled (Month and Day) as opposed to Month/Day/Year. We have heard that there is a possibility that absentee ballot voters will have their votes disqualified because Georgia law requires that the voter's year of birth is required on their oath. We are seeking clarification with our local board of elections office this week.
