Breaking News: Fart spray culprit pleads guilty, put on probation [View all]

An Oconee County man was recently sentenced to probation in connection with his arrest six months ago when he stunk up a bar in downtown Athens with fart spray.

It was early the morning of April 9 when 20-year-old Blake Leland Zengo reportedly sprayed a can of Liquid ASS in the face of a young woman at the Whiskey Bent bar on East Clayton Street. The noxious fumes drove some patrons out of the bar and were heard talking about how badly it smelled inside, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

When police officers arrived on the scene, patrons who remained at the bar pointed out Zengo as the culprit, and when officers spoke to him on the bar’s patio Zengo denied responsibility.

Zengo was described in the police report as being “very inebriated, and was slurring his words,” and when they searched him they found in his pants pocket a spray bottle of Liquid ASS. The product is described on its website as being “super-concentrated” and able to “fill the air with a genuine, foul butt-crack smell with hints of dead animal and fresh poo.”
