1. We lost our house because of Citizens.

They were the only insurance we could get. We went through an agency too. We’re back to being renters again. Buying a home in Florida was the worst financial decision we ever made. I know it doesn’t go that way for most people. If you can avoid Citizens, do it. Paying them anything is like throwing your money in the gutter.
