4. I ran into a young guy that used to work in a local convenience store. He told me he works for

a Utica shale fracking outfit now. He pumps the fracking fluid into the wells. He has only had the job for a month
and is already off work because of a respiratory infection caused by the chemicals in the fracking fluid. When he was working
he got paid $13 an hour and worked 90 hours a week. I suggested he look for another job, even without the chemicals what kind of life could you have
working 90 hours a week. He said he is trying to get in a coal mine that pays $18 an hour. That's not much better but
that is the best a person can get around here anymore.
