Sorry, I've been out of town. The Encana Oil and Gas sites in Erie, north of Vista Ridge and west of Vista Point. The Daily Camera's coverage of the long fight against fracking and the Trustees' decision has been good. Many people went to the meeting and spoke against the wells but they are really frustrated.
Sadly, the elected reps like Polis, Hickenlooper, and Udall are trying to walk the fence as most are backed by big oil and gas. The TV ads have been ridiculous and the Denver Post mostly prints op-eds from gas people about how stupid the anti-fracking people are. Boulder County is home to some of the most educated people in the nation and most of them have done their homework and don't want wells near our schools and homes.
