Southern California school board member (D) sent 'sexual messages' to minor, police say [View all]

A school board member in Brea has been arrested after he allegedly sent “inappropriate sexual messages” to a minor.

Christopher Becerra, 42, was arrested Thursday for possession of child pornography, molesting a child, and falsifying evidence or bribing or intimidating a witness, the Brea Police Department said.

Jail records show he is being held at the Intake Release Center.

Becerra, a member of the Brea Olinda Unified School District Board of Education, is alleged by police to have other victims who were “located and identified” during the investigation.
