1. Same here in New York!

We had a mandatory mask mandate here in New York for over a year - until it was rescinded back in July, just in time for "tourist season" here. *sigh* And the signs on entrances said that it was "the honor system," the unvaccnated were still required to wear masks. Good luck with that.

But the mask mandate was reinstated by the governor as of today, stopped at two stores in my travels today and the signs are back up, face coverings are required to enter stores (and any business). But when I stopped at a small grocery on my way home to pick up a few necessities, I noticed two women checking out ahead of me, no masks in place. It was late and we were likely the only ones in the store. Who is expected to enforce this, the checkout lady??
