1. I think Alvin Lee's blistering speed kept him from being appreciated the way he might have been.

It was kind of a novelty to see someone play 40 notes to the measure, like on Goinn' Home on the Woodstock soundtrack, but it soon came to be a "one trick pony" style. He was better than that.
