A clavichord is a small, quiet stringed keyboard instrument where a small metal blade called a "tangent" strikes the strings to create sound. The tangent remains in contact with the string as long as the key is held, allowing the player to control the volume and pitch. This intimate mechanism gives the clavichord a wide dynamic and expressive range, and it was popular for practice and composition from the late Middle Ages through the 18th century.

I likey ⬆️. Fond of Baroque sound. Haven't a foggy notion why.
