7. I assume they have been affected by the pesticides that have been devastating the bees

Yesterday

If farmers are smart, they will be using better techniques to reduce the amount of pesticides, because they need the bees as much as anybody. But in my area, about 98% of the plant farming is corn or soybeans, which need no bees.
