Good morning my DU family, [View all]

As my fiftieth anniversary in the USA arrives on Saturday, I've been triggered by so many things that, especially with dickhead in the oval office, have left me really down. All the joy has been sucked out of it, and all that remains are so many bad memories and experiences.

I write about this because I've just watched A Dogs Journey and A Dogs Purpose and between the tears and joy of watching, I was and am reminded that we can have positive triggers too.

Watching made me feel closer to my babies of course, but also hopeful for us as people, that goodness will triumph.

I think it reinforces, at least for me, that the best way to get through being "stuck" in life is to get out of our own heads. I know that sounds cliched, but having the awareness to choose those triggers when they're most likely to help is a skill I need to improve.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to be good to ourselves and each other, to seek what's best for each other, and to know that inside of all of us is an amazing person.

Have a hope filled day DU,
Love, John
