In Art College I used both the wood shop's various saws, and sanders, and the metal shop both for sculpture projects. Never welded, but did braising; where you melt a brass rod end into a little blob to join, in my case, metal rods togther. Torch, and protective glasses.

I started making unique wire jewelry in my 30's while no saws, a cutter, various types of pliers for bending, etc, and 2 different hammers.

I enjoy things being crafted so I occasionally watch vids like wood turnng, ceramics. I forgot I watched metal smithing jewelry projects from a set of a week long set on line tutorials claeemsses and talks during covid.
Very interesting!
This was interesting. I should look more stuff up. Usually things occasionally pop up on YT for me.

Oh, and my cousin was a professional blacksmith for a few years.
