20. Years ago, before I had two sons of my own, I was thunderstruck

when my neighbor's* three young sons lined up at the railing between their eat-in kitchen and the family room and proceeded to have a pee-off to see which could shoot the furthest! I never sat on their family room sofa again! It was an eye opener, for certain, and you can be sure our household never had such challenges.

*To complete the picture, said neighbor was an "Auntie Mame" type of free-wheeling city gal, living much against her will in a Chicago suburb b/c of her husband's job. She was 5' tall with flaming red hair, usually wearing a sweatshirt splattered with the "red sauce of the day", while a cigarette dangled from her lips. To say she was the neighborhood "character" doesn't do her justice. LOL. I'll never forget her.
