33. During WWII there was daycare for the children of women who were needed in the workforce.

As a pre-schooler, I attended daycare so my mom could work as a nurse. She worked 6 days a week with Sundays off because the daycare closed that day. When I got the flu and couldn't attend daycare, I was placed in a hospital room where she worked to recover so she could continue to work! Can you imagine that happening today?
Of course, when the war ended, daycare was no longer "good" for children as they needed to be home with their mothers.
