I don't understand the quest for money. [View all]

I'm not making a political statement here, rather, I'm making a statement about life.

What I mean is...the ONLY reason that I would want to be a billionaire is to give it all away to those who need it.

I've always said...I'd like to win $500,000 in the lottery. That's all I need.

I don't get the relentless pursuit of more money by billionaires.

Is it for love? Nobody is going to love you because you have money...they might love your money though.

Is it for perceived respect? Well, I don't respect people because they have that kind of money. Well, unless they donate most of it or do some good with it. THAT I respect.

We're all going to die. Maybe sooner, maybe later. We all end up that way. I can't imagine being on your death bed and being proud of your money hoard. Unless you really busted your ass to get that money...I can see talking pride in that effort. But being proud of HAVING that much money? Nope.

Also, what about all of the stress involved in having to manage those funds? Worrying about someone kidnapping you? How do you even spend that kind of money?

Sorry, just rambling here....
