will end up with a much shorter lifespan than a normal weight cat. They will have respiratory, cardiac and joint problems.

An overweight cat is at a high risk of developing severe respiratory and heart problems. Excess fat puts extra pressure on the heart and lungs, causing conditions like high blood pressure, heart failure, and chronic breathing difficulties. Obesity also causes inflammation, reducing lung volume and making exercise or movement difficult.
