…jobs in nursing, had my master’s degree, and lived in Japan for 2 years while in the Air Force. In other words, I had my “own stuff done” and was ready to devote myself to the.care and nurturing a new human needs. Nothing felt like a sacrifice, nor did I feel like I was missing out on anything by being immersed in the full time demands of parenting. I reveled in it.

So, I know exactly what you mean.
