In the mid90s, I was transferring from a base in Germany to England. I planned on driving my car to England, leave it on the base, return to Germany to finish my base clearance, fly to the States for leave, and then to England. I stayed in a small hotel a couple of miles from the base that was over 200 years old. The floors on the second and third floors were literally warped so it was like walking on a roller coaster track. Almost impossible to pull a suitcase on wheels over the carpet. Other than that, it was actually a nice little hotel.
