I feel your pain and anger on this. My wife and I have been using the same vet for over 25 years, just last year the owner sold the clinic to a hedge fund and the cost has exploded. We recently adopted two cats, brothers, and their initial exams, shots were ridiculously expensive. We braced ourselves has the time approached to get them fixed. In addition to the actual procedure we were now informed that they had to have blood work done beforehand. The tests costing $398.00 before the neutering, and then almost $1100 for the procedure (for both cats) is outrageous. Love my cats, will always be mindful of their health but sorry hedge funds suck, big time.
