On top of the snow from last weekend [View all]

we got more snow overnight. My snow shovel broke the other day. I used a sponge mop to sweep off my steps. That worked a little better than a broom, and when I got the snow cleared, I added a little more salt.

I wanted to feed the birds. The spot I was using for ground feeders was snow covered. I had a push broom in the basement, and it worked to get most of the new snow off the seeds that were still there. I used a rake to clear the picnic table. All in all, the birds and squirrels are in good shape for the rest of today, and maybe tomorrow.

It is going to be cold almost all week, so not much of the snow will melt. My car is stuck in snow, so I won't be going anywhere for a few more days. Fine by me!
