Franz Schubert and Ludwig van Beethoven lived in Vienna at the same time. Young Schubert, a musical genius, idolized Beethoven from afar, but was terrified to meet the Grand Maestro.
Historians say in turn that Beethoven didn't want to meet Schubert because he was embarrassed by his hearing difficulties.
Schubert would be one of the pall or torch bearers at Beethoven's funeral in Mar 1827.

Same here. The Pat Metheny Group (with Lyle on keyboards) was, in my opinion, the greatest jazz group ever.

Deb, being a fan of classic rock ISN'T being "stuck" - not considering how those artists pushed music

Oh highplainsdem. I didn't mean it toward you. I meant it as being in a time period of music and not being able to try

I understood you were saying you were stuck. But I doubt you're completely unable to try new music.

Plenty of groups/artists that I like but if I had to choose one, it would be this group.

Dating myself: Jim Reeves or Patsy Cline. But together, it is better than a pharmaceutical option to calm my tensions.
