This puritan view of divorce by Mr. Fishbrains would force people to remain in a cold, loveless relationship causing even more suffering, stress and pain. Some might go as far as suicide to get out, like they did prior to the no fault divorce.

I propose marriage licenses with a five year expiration date. At the end of five years, you either renew or you split assets 50-50 and move on.
