I asked my doctor in 2003 what the definition of a sociopath. He said that half of our government are sociopaths. A sociopath does know right from wrong but chooses to be a monster in many ways.

I was told that a sociopath can possibly change their behavior if they are deeply committed to getting better. It is difficult and takes years of dedicated therapy, time and energy as well as money.

A psychopath, on the other hand, has a physical inclination to commit horrible acts without guilt or shame. It is in their brain and no amount of therapy, etc will ever be able to do anything about this physical, mental illness.

A sociopath has a chance at changing and a psychopath has no chance.
