gov't officials, and the national ones too, couldn't care less what non-MAGAs think. After years of calling, writing letters to elected officials, petitioning, marching, speaking up at meetings, letters to editor, all for nothing, one becomes discouraged, to put it politely. The ruling class don't care because it's working great for them. There are no guard rails here in FL, because so many newly arrived don't consider it HOME, and only notice the mess when it floods their personal residence.
