Any American who wants to drive a gas-powered car can do so forever. It's everyone's own choice what they want to drive. But in the future it will become increasingly cheaper and more convenient to drive electric cars. Do you know anyone who drives a horse and buggy? Well I don't, but there are Amish folks who still use them as their main transportation.

Sooner or later everyone will WANT to drive electric, just because it makes sense and it's environmentally efficient.
