I hear from the magas around me that electric cars are "so heavy that shards of rubber are thrown from the vehicles as they corner...." Then in the next breath they complain about high gas prices. By the way, 20 years ago the price was higher than it is now. If inflation was the only factor in gas prices, we would be paying at least $5 a gallon in Michigan. I paid $3.09 yesterday. I remember driving down a long, straight Michigan highway in 2000 and noticed the price at every station along the last 10 miles was $3.59. When I commented to someone at my destination about it, he remarked sarcastically "No collusion there." Oil is a commodity, just like gold. I laugh when I hear commercials saying "Gold is your hedge against inflation!" No, it's not. Remember the idiots like Glenn Beck selling gold at $1,900 an ounce saying"It's going to go through the roof!" then it went down to $1,100.
