3. The use of the term "prophet" in the New Testament does not always imply predicting the future.

Prophets were proclaimers of the truth, or of what was religious "truth" of their time.

Anyone in this day and age, by biblical definition, who claims they are a "prophet" who can actually predict the future, is a false prophet.
