New video shows the nearly collapsing Manhattan skyscraper
Disturbing new video has emerged of a collapsing Manhattan skyscraper, forcing the tower and nearby buildings to evacuate.
The under-construction high-rise remains unstable after several columns buckled on Tuesday, and sagging floors have raised fears of a possible collapse. The 1970s-era office building is being converted into luxury apartments and is the former global headquarters of Pfizer, the pharmaceutical giant.
Around 8 in the morning, reports of falling bricks sent firefighters rushing to the building near Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building. New York City officials were using drones to monitor the building, avoiding the need to send people inside.
