In March 2010 when Vice President Joe Biden visited Israel the Israeli Interior Ministry announced the approval of 1,600 new housing units for the ultra-Orthodox settlement of Ramat Shlomo in East Jerusalem. Unfortunately Israel has been pulling off this crap for a long time. Until we get rid of the Citizens United ruling and stop the practice of bundling large donations and allowing unnamed shadow organizations from buying elections it will continue.
