1. The DDR4 (older gen) RAM I'd like to buy to expand my PC's capacity was around $120 for 64GB at the end of 46's term

Currently, there's no (2*32GB) set that's less than $500 on Amazon. The newer PC ram (DDR5) is just as much, if not worse, but the price rise is not as extreme as it's usually cost more than DDR4 to start with.

Servers to run the Cloud and AI are sucking up all the capacity, leaving everyone else paying thru the nose. Plus Trump's tariffs and Iran War are exacerbating the issue when it comes to electronics.
