President Trump announced a Cabinet meeting that had been scheduled at Camp David on Wednesday will no longer be held there because of bad weather.
Trump in a Truth Social post Tuesday said that possible bad weather conditions are postponing the Cabinet trip to the Maryland retreat and the meeting will instead take place at the White House where its been held during his second term and been largely on camera.
The White House indicated earlier Tuesday that Trump would be making a rare trip to Camp David with every member of his Cabinet, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who announced her resignation last week. The administration has a number of topics at hand to discuss, including a peace deal hanging in the balance on Iran as well as a host of domestic matters.
The group will talk about recent successes of the administration including economy and small business wins, Task Force to Eliminate Fraud highlights, and foreign policy updates, a White House official told the New York Post. Iran is likely to be a main topic at the retreat, with tensions running high after the U.S. launched defensive strikes in southern Iran on Monday.
