9. We had a little girl killed in Texas from a falling bullet

She was 11, outside watching fireworks shortly after midnight on New Year's Day. A falling bullet pierced the soft tissue in her shoulder, severing an artery. She bled out in her father's arms.

Terminal velocity of a falling bullet can be as high as 300 feet per second.
