I keep thinking back to the days when Jackie Kennedy’s Rose Garden was all the rage. She was hands-down the most low-key-glamorous yet elegant First Lady imaginable. She made us all sigh. They were the Ultimate Golden Couple of the era, she and JFK. Impeccable style and good taste. Served with charm and good humor and huge families with kids all over the place, and noisy football games in their impossibly vast version of a “back yard”. An amazing grouping of “American bluebloods”. And yet, somehow still SOOOOOOO accessible to the masses, the lot of them. Absolutely unparalleled.

Frankly, we have yet to see their equals, lo these many decades later. Not sure we ever will, either.
