However the platform does not support fiat currency in the traditional USD/Euro etc.

Instead; the platform requires users make wagers in cryptocurrency USDC acquired through Coinbase, Crypto.com or other similar exchanges. There are options for conversion from other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum or Solana directly from Polymarket.

Not sure if this was common knowledge or not; however I did want to share that this is being pushed (and used) by the crypto bros. -and likely many administration adjacent individuals to make these outrageous wagers on geopolitical events…
