From a US perspective they are high relative to "normal", when normal is given as $2.50 a gallon.

From the perspective of inflation.... In 1985 the USA was paying $1.20 a gallon. Adjusted for inflation it would be about $3.50 a gallon today.

So if gasoline tracked inflation it would be "not very high".

But it doesn't. So yeah, gasoline is expensive. Relatively speaking of course.

And Trump is still a lying scumbag.
