There is endless money for such ventures.

The SM comments sections of every Liberal or Centrist media outlet in Washington State is overrun with Seattle (and Olympia) haters. No matter the topic, they'll start in on Seattle crime, Seattle squalor, Seattle traffic, Bob Ferguson, etc. The industriousness of anti-Liberal, anti-Progressive trolls out here is amazing.

Yet the GQP has no candidates for statewide office that have a snowball's chance in hell at winning an election.
